Discount Duel: B’s JCPenney

Though I’d never been before, when my mom bought me a cute thermal for $.90 at JCPenney, I knew I needed to pay a visit.

The juniors section will make your eyes bleed (do 16 year olds really want to wear all that glitter??) but with some digging, I turned up some decent and inexpensive work clothes.

A slight caveat, big sizes only. My outfit was composed of the only two items that sort of fit and went together. For the most part 0/2s are SOL.

Also, stick to dresses and tops. Pants are not a good bet. The fits I saw tended to be pretty frumpy. There are similarly priced and significantly more flattering styles to be found elsewhere.

“All work (and a playful skirt)”: Add some black tights and this look is perfect for the office.

Dress (worn as a top) $40

Skirt $25

Belt $15 (I’m wearing my own in the pic because the fitting room attendant wouldn’t allow accessories)

Boots $119

Total: $199
