Well…it is down to the wire. Christmas is only one day away, but there is still time to run and get those little gifts for friends and family! (Believe me, I am behind on my shopping, too!) Here are some little gift ideas (and some for cheap!) that you can find at your local shopping area or mall:
Slippers: Everyone loves warm feet! Get your friend or relative something that they will not only love, but put on their feet after they open them! You can find a pair of fuzzy slippers at a GREAT deal at Forever 21 for less than $4 and in a variety of colors at IKEA for only $2!
Jewelry: One can never have enough jewelry! Earrings, necklaces and bracelets are always welcome into my jewelry box. Around the holidays, there are always huge sales happening at stores like Kohls and Marc by Marc Jacobs jewels at places like Nordstrom. I like this Marc by Marc Jacobs Bow necklace and this white gold and diamond key pendantfrom Kohls at over 50% off!
Gloves: Like slippers, your hands need to be warm, too! Find luxurious leather (and some cashmere lined!) gloves at a variety of places – and for under $50! Find gloves at Macy’s and J. Crew.
Fragrance: Who doesn’t like to smell nice? And with all the new fragrances coming out all the time, there are plenty of scents to choose from for anyone. One of the hottest scents this year is Marc Jacobs’ Lola - comes in perfume, shower gels and creams. Macy’s has tons of different fragrances to choose from – Chanel to Michael Kors to Dior. Most under $100.
Headbands: Help your friends channel their inner Blair Waldorf a la Gossip Girl and get them a chic headband! From $3 to $300, headbands scale the price spectrum – but for the most part, you get what you pay for! Find some super cute (and cheap!) bands at Forever 21 like this beaded flower headwrap for under $4. Or, if you are feeling extra generous, you can go straight to the source of the Upper East Side looks and get a Jennifer Behr headband. Right now she has many studded and crystalized bands; I like this crystal and satin ribbon band for $275.
Gift Cards: If all else fails…gift cards! Now-a-days there are gifts cards for everything and everywhere! Get your friend or family member a gift card to their favorite store, so they can get exactly what they want. If you are afraid gift cards are not personal enough, give a favorite bottle of wine or batch of cookies with the gift. Who wouldn’t appreciate that?!
