Ah, Thanksgiving. A time for family and love…or in the case of the folks on Gossip Girl, a time to open the floodgates and storm off from the table. Revelations and deception occurs and the whole night goes up in flames. Dan realizes more and more that he has feelings for Vanessa than span larger than friendship…and her mom sees it, too. Rufus invites Lily’s mother to Thanksgiving (on accident) and discovers that Lily has some secrets about what exactly she was doing this summer. Serena continues to see Tripp Van Der Bilt, especially after he said he was divorcing his wife, Maureen. Maureen gets suspicious and, while attending dinner with everyone, demands that the affair stops or else she will leak elevator footage that Nate got from Chuck’s hotel. Tripp does not give up and convinces Serena that he loves her and to run away with him, only after she finds a note from her father that her mother has kept hidden from her. In addition to petty drama between Jenny and Eric (only the beginning) and Blair and her mom (reconciled). But, other than the oodles of drama happening between the character, their fashion still stays in check. This week was all about the coats.
Though I may not have been a totalfan of her Stella McCartney jumpsuit at Thanksgiving dinner, Serena completely makes up for it in this fabulous peacock-esque Adam Double Breasted Car Coat ($995). The detailing on the collar is fantastic. She paired the coat with Charley 5.0 denim leggings ($156) and an embellished tie-top blouse.
Looking Upper Eastside chic, as usual, Blair walks out of her BF’s hotel in a fabulous navy moleskin coat by Marc by Marc Jacobs ($317). She paired the look with textured DKNY tights, black Giuseppe Zanotti pumps and topped it off with a red Anya Hindmarch bag. Blair also hit the nail on the head with her wardrobe on Thanksgiving. I loved her green and black printed dress paired with textured tights, so daring!
