The gala kicked off Burton’s MoMA exhibit, drawing crowds of die-hard fans dressed in their finest Edward Scissorhands and Batman attire. It was also host to a slew of celebrities including Johnny Depp, Brooke Shields, Danny DeVito, and even the elusive Anna Wintour. Fashion was at the forefront of the affair as attendees came to show off their duds. As stars trickled in, it became clear that black was the color of choice for the evening… because really, what else would you wear for Tim Burton?
