Gossip Girl Favorite Look: They Shoot Humphrey’s, Don’t They?

It is Cotillion-time on the Upper East Side and no one is more excited than Jenny. She wants to leave “the girl from Brooklyn” behind and become the queen of the Upper East Side with her debut. Serena and Blair fight for the position as Jenny’s Cotillion mentor, Blair wins, but is then swiftly dissed by Jenny about her headband. Blair and Serena continue feuding until Chuck tries to make it better by getting them stuck in an elevator. Serena finally opens up to Blair about finding her dad and her new job working with Trip van der Bilt – including the sexual tension! Finally, BFFs again! On the flip side, Olivia finds out that she has to do another movie and Dan and Vanessa try and give her a real college experience before she has to leave – all of which include a threesome! Eric tries to control Jenny’s tirade of being queen, but it all just backfires as Jenny makes a quick save with getting Nate to be her escort. The fashion of the evening was obviously the Cotillion. I really tried to like Blair’s red Fall 2009 Marchesa dress, but it could have been a tad more figure-flattering. The dress I really loved was Jenny’s.

Of course wearing black, Jenny looked absolutely stunning  in a fall 2009 Blumarine dress. Her blonde hair, red lips and flowing black gown made a statement at the Cotillion. As always, Serena had her shining moments.

Serena had a casual professionalism (and a little bit of sex appeal with the zipper!) in this green Mason by Michelle Mason zip shirtdress ($407). She paired the look with a gold and jewel chunky bracelet, black tights and pumps. Also, I am completely obsessed with this black, studded Nanette Lapore Party Girl coat ($548). It looks like an outfit in itself, though it is hiding an equally chic one-shoulder dress underneath. She pairs it with a sequined Chanel bag and pretty drop earrings.

Can’t wait for Gaga next week!
