What Katie’s Wearing:
Sweater: The Garment District, $12
Shirt: Mom’s closet, $0
Skirt: boutique in Cape Cod, $30
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell, $135
Where are you on your way to?
On my way to meet a friend for a coffee/vegan lunch in the east village then heading to work at Bobst (I’m that girl at the exit desk!)
Favorite store?
I don’t really have a favorite store… I try to avoid shopping, even though I like fashion.
Where are you from?
Boston
How would you describe your style?
I don’t know what my style is…a lot of people think I’m a hippie. Sometimes I vary from one decade to another depending on the day, and sometimes I subtly mix decades together.
Are you excited about fall?
I’m excited about fall. I love returning to Boston and seeing acres of fiery forest pass my car when I drive around. And I’m obsessed with apple cider and the smell of raw autumn mornings…and pumpkins and unpredictable weather–and stepping on crunchy leaves.
School, Year, Major:
NYU – Gallatin, Sophomore, Environmental Studies related to Food Studies, Anthropology, Philosophy, Acitivism, & Photo. [YESSSSS. How's that for a major?]
Why we spotted her:
Katie’s look borrows a little from the 80’s and a little from RIGHT NOW, cooking up to a wildly original bohemian/urban/vintage delight. The shoes are transformative: they make all of the pieces cohesive and give the sweater a very modern feel. 21st century sleek, meet 80’s oversized!
