It’s not easy not to notice: lace is definitely in. I’ve always loved the way lace can immediately add that feminine touch to any outfit or wardrobe, whether it’s a top, skirt, or detailing on a handbag. I picked out some of my favorite tops that include that lovely lace. Enjoy!
Prim and proper, this ladylike turtleneck by Free People is at once charming and seductive. This top can be paired with denim or tuck it into a pencil skirt. The long sleeves allow it to be worn in the fall and winter, with a keyhole opening in the back, creating a sensual touch to the top.
This grey sateen and floral lace panel dress is just gorgeous. With a high-rounded neck, V-back, and fitted material, above-the-knee dresses like this one by BCBGeneration can be worn with high black boots, or paired with a pair of black leggings and flats to dress the look down.
Lace doesn’t always have to be fancy! Dress casual but still feminine with a t-shirt that has lace incorporated as a print, like this Lace Miss Marc Tee by Marc Jacobs. This jersey tee features lace, leaf, and Miss Marc graphics, and can be simply paired with a pair of straight-legged or acid-washed jeans and a pair of black boots! It’s that easy to look fresh and hip, with that hint of elegance!
For those looking to take the more affordable route, there’s of course, Forever 21. Accent your strapless dresses with this frilly, lace-ruffled, cropped cardigan. It is fully lined with stretchy modal jersey knit and comes to a close at the center front neck with a hook and eye.
One of my personal favorites is this Knit Lace Back Tee from Urban Outfitters. UO has partnered with some awesome independent designers to create an ongoing series of limited-edition collections available only at Urban Outfitters, including Reformed. This printed Reformed tank is trimmed with a sheer lace inset at the back. Cut with raw-edges throughout and finished with stitched roll at the shoulder.
