It’s hard to believe, I know, but we have to start getting ready to strut our stuff in the cold. Outerwear can run you a pretty penny though, so I tried to find a few jackets that were fun, fashionable, and best of all, affordable. I personally love coats that make a statement. Be it color, shape, or detail, you want a coat that will make you stand out among the sea of black or brown coats and scarves that probably make up your campus’ wardrobe. I know it seems safe to get a simple jacket, but honestly you want something that expresses your personal style and that you’ll get great use out of. Currently I have 2 pink coats, a cream coat, and a grey jacket, so maybe I’m biased. The above coats from BB Dakota, Forever21, and Fred Flare, are unique, versatile, and under $100. When on your hunt for lovely cover-ups, look at details like buttons, cut, and fabric and just stick to what you love. I know you’ll find a piece that will suit your personal style while sticking to your budget. Another great secret: Vintage stores have the most amazing classic jackets. Thats where I got mine!
