London Fashion Week has had an interesting start with a less than fabulous Matthew Williamson show and a the plus-size model issue at Mark Fast’s show. But all the stars came out to the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 show. Mary-Kate Olsen, Alexa Chung and Slumdog Millionaire stars, Freida Pinto and beau Dev Patel were all front row at the show. Burberry spokesmodel, Emma Watson, Gwenyth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham and a darker Agyness Deyn were also spotted next to the runway. The show is usually in Milan, but for London Fashion Week’s 25th anniversary, Burberry Prorsum decided to bring it to London. Looks like a success to me!

Burberry’s spring line was all about the buttons, belts and bunching. The collection stuck with khakis and light pastels to create a sort-of chic Easter egg assortment. As expected with Burberry, there were many trenches and jackets with details like ruching and double-breasted buttons. Belts of all different colors and sizes were seen on every look: brown, black, thick and thin. Details like ruching, knots and draping were apparent on almost every look. That little detail brought to the jackets and skirts made them that more interesting to the eye and gave them movement. A couple fur jackets were thrown into the mix to balance the structure from the trench coats.
