StyleHop (http://www.stylehop.com) is seeking talented UI designers and Web Developers to join our team. We are looking to ramp-up development of our industry-leading idea and have several part-time and full-time opportunities for talented and motivated web engineers. Recruits would be able to work on a variety of interesting projects such as data mining and game development. Since we're still in our alpha phase, you will have a huge impact and be part of this exciting, trend-setting idea.
Web/UI Designer
3+ years (verifiable) experience in web design (must provide portfolio)
strong knowledge and hands-on experience in CSS, xHTML, Javascript required
Comfortable with GIMP, Adobe, Flash, Dreamweaver, Visio
Ability to hand-code via text editors
Ability to take a handout or sketch and turn it into a web page or eye-catching printed material.
Experience in creating/transforming mock-ups, wireframes, workflow and prototypes
Experience in creating designs on 3D web environment
Flexible, detail oriented, able to work independently and in collaboration with others
Comfortable working on multiple projects with tight timelines
Web Developer
3+ years LAMP programming experience
3+ hands-on experience in (object-oriented) PHP, Perl, Java (Javascript, "Ajax")
strong experience in hand-written xHTML and CSS
strong experience in *compliant*, cross-browser compatible code
strong SQL experience
proven experience in Ajax libraries such as scriptaculous and prototype
experience in building and maintaining scalable ASP
experience creating and deploying Web API and services using REST
online gaming experience
social networking, "Web 2.0" API development experience
UNIX/Linux proficiency
strong verbal and communication skills
Comfortable working on multiple projects with tight timelines
